sussman
these photos by Rachel Sussman are very interesting to me not only because they are just beautiful images but also because they are all images in a collection of others that are predominantly of really old things. Old organisms that last years and years, much longer than any of us will ever live. this picture is of some sort of organism that is over 2000 years old and i think thats crazy.

these paintings are something that are very interesting to me, these beautiful paintings made by John Sawbraw are made of something that isn't anywhere near as beautiful as what it creates. these paintings are made from toxic runoff found in the Ohio River region, Sawbraw who is an artist and a professor produces his own DIY pigments.

this is a video of a labyrinth that was created by the are collective luzzinterruptus. this group has a history of tackling and bringing attention to many social issues in Europe. in this case its bringing attention to the plastic waste issues they are prominent in their region. i though that the idea of making something out of what everyone else throws away was a really cool idea.

Olafur Eliasson is an artist that i recently discovered who makes some really interesting sculptures. he is an environmentalist so a lot of his work has to do with popular environmental issues. this picture is one of a sculpture he did that was in a refrigerated gallery powered by solar panels in New York and these are pieces of ice that broke off from Iceland’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull
